Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
MyInnos built the Cinema Passport: Movie Journal app as a free application. This service is provided by MyInnos at no cost and is intended for use as-is.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used and protected when you use this app. We do not sell your personal data.
Delete Your Account
To delete your Cinema Passport account and the data stored about you:
- In the app: open Settings, tap Delete Account (shown when you are signed in) and send the email it prepares.
- Without the app: email passport@myinnos.in from the Google account you signed in with, with the subject "Delete my Cinema Passport account".
We delete your profile, profile photo, device information, usage statistics and sign-in account within 30 days and confirm by email. Your movie journal stays on your phone and your Google Drive backups stay in your Drive. See Delete Your Account for full details.
Information Collection and Use
Cinema Passport does not collect sensitive personal information such as contacts, phone numbers, messages, call logs or files from your device.
The app lets you keep a personal movie journal: titles, dates, ratings, notes, venues or platforms, formats, languages, watchlist entries and optional images you add. This journal is stored locally on your device by default. If you sign in, a summary of counts and settings (not the journal itself) is sent to us, as described under Usage Statistics.
Account & Profile Information
To enable optional features such as your digital passport card and cloud backup, you may sign in with Google. When you do, the app may use:
- Name and email address
- Profile photo (optional). If you add one, it is uploaded to our server so it can be shown on your passport.
- Country and gender (a default may be set; you can change both at any time)
- Your passport number and account ID, sign-up date and last sign-in date
- Device information: an Android device ID, the device name, model and manufacturer, and the Android version, for the device you signed up on and the one you last signed in on
This information is stored in Google Firebase and is used for app functionality, personalisation, showing your passport card and understanding which devices the app runs on. You can sign out at any time. Signing out does not delete this information; see Data Deletion.
Backup & Sync
If you choose to, you can back up and restore your journal using your own Google Drive. Profile details are synced through Google Firebase so your passport is available across devices. Backups are only created when you ask for them.
Backups go straight from your device to your Google Drive. We cannot see or access them.
Usage Statistics
If you are signed in, each time the app starts it sends a summary of how you use it to Google Firebase, linked to your account. We use it to understand which features are used, fix problems and decide what to improve. The summary includes:
- App version, how many times the app has been opened, the date it was last opened, and your device language and time zone
- Counts from your journal, such as the number of entries, watched titles, watchlist items, cinema and streaming visits, rated titles and entries with notes, photos, seats or companions
- Totals and averages, such as your average rating, total watch time, the number of different theatres, and the dates of your first, latest and last edited entries
- Your most common content types, languages, formats, genres and film countries (top five of each, with counts)
- Your app settings, such as theme colour, layouts, which home rows and reminders are on, whether notifications are allowed, and when you last made a cloud backup and its size
- How often some features are used, such as opening cast lists or hiding suggestions
- The actors, directors and crew you follow in My Stars (their public TMDB name, photo and role), and a history of your recent follows and unfollows
The summary does not include the titles, notes, theatre names, companions, seats or ticket images in your journal.
If you do not sign in, no usage summary is sent.
Online Movie Information
To find titles, posters, genres, cast, release dates, recommendations and new releases, the app connects to TMDB (The Movie Database). When you search for a title or view suggestions, the search text, the selected title and your device language and country are sent to TMDB. No account details are sent.
Where-to-stream information is provided by JustWatch through TMDB. It is fetched for your country when needed and is not stored.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Notifications
Showtime reminders and release-day reminders for your watchlist are scheduled on your device. We may also send occasional app announcements through OneSignal. You can turn notifications off in the app or in your device settings.
User Generated Content
You may add your own images or text for personal journaling and sharing. MyInnos does not provide, host, verify or distribute copyrighted media. Content you add is your own responsibility, and we may remove content that violates applicable laws or policies.
This app does not stream, host or download movies or video content.
Third-Party Services
Cinema Passport uses third-party services that may collect limited information to provide and improve their services:
These services may collect identifiers such as device information, usage data and IP address for analytics, notifications and service improvement.
The app uses Firebase Analytics to record how the app is used, for example which screens you open, when you add a movie, sign in or use cloud backup, and the text you type into search.
Log Data
If the app crashes, crash data may be collected through Firebase Crashlytics. This may include device information, operating system version and app usage timestamps.
Firebase Performance Monitoring collects app performance data, such as start-up time and network request times, together with device information.
Cookies
Cinema Passport does not use cookies directly. Third-party SDKs may use cookies or similar technologies as part of their services.
Children's Privacy
This app is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Data Deletion
You can delete your journal at any time with "Delete Entire Data" in the app, by clearing app data or by uninstalling the app. Backups in your Google Drive stay under your control and can be deleted from Drive.
To delete your account and the information stored about you in Firebase (your profile, profile photo, device information and usage statistics), tap Delete Account in the app's Settings, or email passport@myinnos.in from the Google account you signed in with. We will delete it within 30 days and confirm by email. See Delete Your Account for details.
For other questions or data requests, contact us at the same address.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
External Links
The app may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party sites.
